She specializes in family practice, medical wellness, aesthetics and hormone replacement.

NM Spirit of Wellness is a cooperative of independent medical wellness practitioners, estheticians and massage therapists, whose treatment styles reflect certain Ayurvedic healing modalities. With an ever-present call to help people, Jeannett became a vet tech right out of high school. In 1998, she traveled to Calcutta, India, and volunteered for Mother Teresa’s Charity Mission for 3 months, and watched the doctors and nurses work hard with more detailed work. As someone whose gift was not academic, she was not ready to commit to officially starting classes. So she started with a Certified Practical Nurse (CNA) diploma and quickly realized that she needed to become a nurse practitioner.

After graduating from CNA from Central New Mexico Community College, she obtained her associate degree in nursing from Carrington College. She received her BS in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and her MS in Nursing from Southern University.

Professionally, Jeannett is proud to be a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the Cellular Medicine Association, the Empire Medical Association and Evexipel.

She began her career as a home aide before joining the Presbyterian Hospital in downtown Albuquerque, where she worked in the medical surgery unit and emergency department. After learning about responsive medicine, she decided she needed to figure out how to help people thrive. She left the emergency department and went to work in family medicine, rural medicine and emergency care in Moriarty NM for 2 years.

After the takeover of his private mountain clinic by a company in 2020, Jeannett opened a wellness clinic to focus on the whole person. She now has more time to review labs, current and past stressors, lifestyle and personal choices, and is focusing more on keeping people away from pharmaceuticals. From May 2020 to February 2021, she flew COVID missions through the NMDOH Medical Reserve Corp to assist the Navajo Nation, Gallup and Albuquerque.

A Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) is board certified and provides ongoing and comprehensive health care to the individual and family of all ages, genders, diseases and bodily systems. NPFs maintain patient charts, perform physical examinations, order or perform diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, and treat acute and chronic illnesses, conditions and injuries within primary care.

In July 2021, Jeannett gave his first virtual speech at the ICON International Conference on Building a Patient / Provider Team and received the Best Speaker Award. She also received the Who’s Who Nurse Practitioner Award (2021) and America’s Top Nursing Award (2021).

On a more personal note, she attributes her success to her constant efforts to do better in medicine and provide her patients with the specialized care they need.
